Haryana police block Khanauri Crossing as farmers march to Delhi

Farmers are people who grow crops like grains and vegetables.

Sometimes they worry they will not get enough money for their crops.

So they ask the government to guarantee a fair price.

Recently, many farmers decided to march to Delhi to ask for this guarantee.

They also wanted changes to how fertiliser is given out.

The police blocked the roads with big barriers to stop them.

Similar protests happened in Madhya Pradesh, where farmers marched towards Bhopal.

The police stopped them near Bhopal, and the farmers sat on the highway.

Their talks with officials did not succeed, so the farmers say they will keep protesting.

Traffic had to be diverted, and some schools closed because of the protests.
