People and farmers around Kolleru have created a group called Voice of Kolleru.

They want officials to reconsider how the wetland’s boundary is drawn.

The group says the original lake was about 64,000 acres wide.

It says the current wetland area reaches 2.25 lakh acres.

This includes farms, fish-farming areas, villages and towns outside the original lake.

The group believes these rules could cause serious financial problems for local residents.

The Supreme Court has ordered officials to check and mark the boundaries within two months.

Voice of Kolleru plans to raise awareness, work with governments and pursue legal action.
