Kolkata Metro to Run 438 Services on Independence Day 2026
India's Independence Day is a big national holiday.
The Kolkata Metro, the oldest Metro network in the country, has a special plan for that day.
On August 15, 2026, it will run 438 train services.
That is a very large number of trains in one day.
The Blue Line will run 194 services, with 97 trains going in each direction.
The Green Line will run 148 services, with 74 trains going in each direction.
