Kolkata Metro network to expand to around 130 km
The Kolkata Metro is a big train system that moves people around the city of Kolkata.
The person in charge, Mr. Prem Sagar Gupta, said the Metro will soon be even bigger.
It will grow to about 130 kilometers of tracks.
He told everyone this on Independence Day, a special day in India.
Last year, the Metro carried 23.60 crore passengers, which is a huge number of people.
The Metro also made more money this year.
It earned Rs 166 crore in the first few months, which is 34 per cent more than before.
People are using their phones to buy tickets now, through an app called 'Aamar Kolkata Metro'.
