CBSE to Launch AI, STEM Online Programme on August 15
A big school board in India called CBSE is starting a new online class series called '3030 Eklavya.'
It is making this series with a learning centre and scientists from IIT Gandhinagar.
The classes will teach kids and teachers about computers, smart machines called AI, and science.
The first class happens on August 15 and is about using matchboxes to learn about computers and AI.
After that, a new class will be streamed every Sunday.
Kids in Class 6 and above and their teachers can join if they want to.
It is free, but everyone must sign up first.
If they finish their homework, they can get a special certificate that costs 200 rupees.
Teachers can also earn credit for their own training by joining.
This is all meant to help kids think better and solve problems with technology.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will launch the '3030 Eklavya' Online Series on August 15, 2026, in collaboration with the Centre for Creative Learning and IIT Gandhinagar.
The eight-session programme covers Computational Thinking, Artificial Intelligence, and STEM through inquiry-based learning activities.
The inaugural episode, 'Computational Thinking and AI with Matchboxes,' airs on August 15 at 4 pm, with the remaining seven episodes streamed live every Sunday.
The voluntary programme is open to teachers and students of Classes 6 and above; registration is free but mandatory, and certificates cost Rs 200 plus taxes.
Over 450 District Level Deliberations are planned nationwide, and each episode counts as three CPD hours for teachers of CBSE-affiliated schools.
