Maharashtra launches AI Saathi for Educators training course
Teachers in the Indian state of Maharashtra are getting a new kind of training.
The training is called AI Saathi for Educators.
It is a virtual, or online, course for educators.
The Kotak Education Foundation and the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Maharashtra, worked together on the launch.
Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse officially launched the course on July 14.
This is the first online course that the state has made a mandatory training programme.
It is part of the state's 20-hour mandatory online professional development framework.
The AI Saathi course gives teachers four hours of certified training.
About 7.5 lakh (750,000) teachers and officers across Maharashtra must take this course.
It covers educators from Grades 1 to 12.
Kotak Education Foundation and SCERT Maharashtra launched 'AI Saathi for Educators' in Mantralaya on July 14.
Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse launched the course at an event attended by senior state education officials.
AI Saathi is the first virtual course selected as a mandatory training programme under Maharashtra's online training policy.
The course provides four hours of certified training within the state's 20-hour mandatory online professional development framework.
The course will be compulsory for approximately 7.5 lakh teachers and officers, covering educators from Grades 1 to 12 across Maharashtra.
