Karnataka Announces AI, Coding Programme for Schools from Class 6
The leader of Karnataka, a state in India, made a big announcement on Independence Day.
He said that schools will start teaching artificial intelligence, or AI, from the sixth grade.
AI is a special kind of technology that lets computers learn and solve problems.
Kids will also learn coding, which is how people give computers instructions.
The leader also wants to build a special university for AI in Bengaluru.
It would be the first government-owned AI university in India.
The plan is to help students learn new technology skills.
That way, when they grow up, they can compete with people from all over the world.
The government also has other plans, like filling thousands of job openings and helping students from villages go to college.
