Israel Consul General Hails India-Israel Partnership Beyond Prime Ministers

A special guest from Israel, Mr. Yaniv Revach, came to a celebration in Mumbai, India.

The party was for India's Independence Day.

Mr. Revach told the people of India, "Happy Independence Day."

He said India and Israel are good friends, not just through their leaders but through their people too.

He said the two countries work together on things like farming, water, and culture.

Soon, a big statue of a famous Indian warrior king named Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be put up in Israel.

The leader of the state, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, welcomed many guests from other countries at the celebration.

Another guest from Israel, Ms. Avishag Hefer, said she was happy to celebrate for the second time in Mumbai.

This shows that countries can be friends and celebrate special days together.
