GATE 2027 Registration Revised; Applications Begin August 27
GATE is a big test in India that students take to get into good colleges for higher studies and to get jobs at some government companies.
The test for 2027 will be run by IIT Madras.
Students can sign up for the test starting on August 27, 2026.
They have until September 27 to apply without paying an extra fee.
If they miss that date, they can still apply until October 5, but they will have to pay a late fee.
The test itself will happen in February 2027, over three weekends.
Students in their third year of college or higher can take the test, as well as people who have finished certain approved degree programs.
People who pass can use their GATE score to get into postgraduate programs or to apply for jobs at some government companies.
The results are expected to come out on March 19, 2027.
IIT Madras announced revised GATE 2027 registration dates, with the application link going live on August 27, 2026.
Regular registration without late fee will remain open until September 27, 2026.
The extended registration window with late fee will close on October 5, 2026.
GATE 2027 will be conducted in three exam weekends: February 6-7, February 13-14, and February 20-21, 2027.
City allotment notification is set for January 4, 2027, and results are expected on March 19, 2027.
