AI, Big Data, Cybersecurity Lead Global Tech Hiring in Q2
A company called GlobalData studies jobs all around the world.
It looked at job openings from the second three months of 2026.
It found that companies are looking for workers who know about artificial intelligence, big data, and keeping computers safe from hackers.
The most wanted skills were in generative AI, which helps computers create new things, and machine learning.
The United States and India had the most of these special AI job listings.
However, the total number of job openings around the world went down by about 2.3 percent.
This happened because companies are being careful and worried about the economy.
Still, some places had more jobs, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
Car companies also added some jobs because of new car launches and electric vehicles.
Stores and technology companies continued to have the most job openings of all.

Job postings grew modestly in the US and the UK, while the Netherlands saw a rise supported by stable economic growth, higher household spending and increased public expenditure.
Automotive, packaging and oil and gas sectors posted marginal growth, while retail and technology generated the highest volume of job postings globally.
