Minister outlines plans to expand Telangana district connectivity

Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao spoke at a public event in Kothagudem.

The event remembered the integration of Hyderabad State with India on September 17.

He said the government was observing the day as Praja Palana Day.

He said better roads and railway lines could help the district develop.

One plan would connect Bhadrachalam by railway through a line from Pandurangapuram toward Malkangiri.

Another plan would make the Amaravati–Jagdalpur National Highway four lanes.

The government also wants to improve important roads between Kothagudem, Illendu, and Hyderabad.

Officials are considering an airport and transport along the Godavari River as well.
