Tummala seeks Centre action on Telangana’s key demands
Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao asked the central government and Andhra Pradesh to help solve several Telangana-related problems.
He made these requests at a meeting in Mahabalipuram.

Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao raised several Telangana issues at the 31st Southern Zonal Council meeting in Mahabalipuram.
He sought the merger of five Andhra Pradesh gram panchayats, covering 19 revenue villages, with Telangana’s Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
The requested merger is based on administrative distance: the Andhra Pradesh headquarters is about 282 km away, while Bhadradri Kothagudem headquarters is about 40 km away.
Tummala asked Andhra Pradesh to release its share of funds for restoring the rain-damaged Peddavagu irrigation project, estimated to cost Rs 92.20 crore.
He also sought a minimum price of Rs 25,000 per tonne for oil palm fruit bunches and national-highway status for the Bhadrachalam-Eluru road.
