Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao asked the central government and Andhra Pradesh to help solve several Telangana-related problems.

He made these requests at a meeting in Mahabalipuram.

One request was to move five local councils from Andhra Pradesh into Telangana.

He said the councils are much closer to Telangana’s district headquarters than to Andhra Pradesh’s headquarters.

He also asked Andhra Pradesh to pay its share for repairing the damaged Peddavagu irrigation project.

The project’s repair is expected to cost Rs.

92.20 crore.

He wanted oil palm growers to receive at least Rs.

25,000 for each tonne of fresh fruit bunches.

He also requested that a road between Bhadrachalam and Eluru become a national highway.
