Andhra Pradesh, a state in India, made its electricity wires so good that almost no electricity is wasted anymore — only 2.60 out of every 100 units is lost.

The company that makes the electricity also set a new record by producing 6,009 megawatts of power in one day.

The people of Andhra Pradesh used more electricity than ever before on May 21, 2026, when demand reached 15,016 megawatts.

To make sure there is enough power in the future, the state is building new power projects that together can make 15,680 more megawatts.

The state is also bringing in lots of clean energy from the sun, the wind, and water.

Leaders announced these good results at the 80th Independence Day celebrations in Vijayawada.

They said everyone should keep working together so that Andhra Pradesh's power sector becomes an example for the whole country.
