IND vs SL: Rishabh Pant on verge of achieving historic milestone as India gear up for landmark 600th Test · livemint.com

Cricket is a sport played with a bat and a ball.

In Test cricket, players try to hit the ball far, and a big hit over the boundary is called a six.

A player from India named Rishabh Pant has hit 97 sixes in his Test matches.

If he hits three more, he will be the first Indian player ever to reach 100 sixes.

Only three other players in the whole world have done this before: Ben Stokes, Brendon McCullum and Adam Gilchrist.

Pant will try to do it on a very special day for his team.

India is about to play its 600th Test match, and only England and Australia have played that many before.

Pant also wants to reach 3,000 runs in the World Test Championship.

He needs 220 more runs to get there.

People around the world will be watching to see if Pant makes history.
