Pant also passed Shubman Gill as India’s top run-scorer in the World Test Championship.

He went past MS Dhoni for the most runs by an Indian wicketkeeper in away Tests.

India later declared their innings at 503 runs for nine wickets, with Dhruv Jurel scoring an unbeaten 115.
