MP Says Proposed LHS Will Improve Malyalapalli-Bhadripalli Connectivity
Residents of Malyalapalli and Bhadripalli have been seeking better road connectivity.
Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna said a new Light Height Subway, or LHS, may solve the problem.
He first asked officials to consider a level crossing at Gate No.
2A.
Officials instead suggested building the LHS near LC No.
2 at Malyalapalli.
They said this location suits the area because it has both industries and homes.
NTPC officials responded positively to the proposal.
NTPC also said an approach road would be built with the subway.
The MP said he would follow up on the project and its funding.
Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna said an LHS could provide a permanent connectivity solution for Malyalapalli and Bhadripalli residents.
The MP had requested a level crossing at Gate No. 2A from railway officials and concerned departments.
Authorities instead proposed an LHS near LC No. 2 at Malyalapalli because the area is both industrial and residential.
NTPC General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava said an LHS and approach road would be developed.
Vamsi Krishna said he would personally monitor the works and funding in Peddapalli and Mancherial districts.
