Minister Lays Foundation for Long-Pending Marrivalasa Bridge Project
People in Marrivalasa village have wanted a bridge for many years.
On Sunday, Minister Kondapalli Srinivas started the bridge project by laying its foundation stone.
The road-cum-bridge is expected to cost Rs 6.50 crore.
It should make it easier for villagers to reach schools, hospitals, and other services.
The project was promised during the 2024 election campaign.
It will be funded through a government investment assistance scheme.
The minister also opened a new village council building.
Villagers asked for repairs to their Anganwadi and school buildings, and he promised new buildings next year.
Officials may also arrange a bus stop for students.
MSME Minister Kondapalli Srinivas laid the foundation stone for a Rs 6.50 crore road-cum-bridge project at Marrivalasa on Sunday.
The bridge is intended to improve connectivity and access to education, healthcare, and other essential services.
Funding was sanctioned under the Special Assistance for Capital Investment scheme with support from the Centre.
Srinivas also inaugurated Marrivalasa’s new Gram Panchayat building, constructed at a cost of Rs 10 lakh.
The minister promised new Anganwadi and school buildings next year and said officials would be asked to provide a bus stop for students.
