India Sets Record with Seven Golds in Commonwealth Games Boxing
India’s boxers had a big day at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
They won seven gold medals, which is the most India has ever won in boxing at these games.
Five of the gold medals were won by women boxers, and two were won by men.
The team also earned three silver medals, making a total of ten medals.
Because of this success, India finished fourth in the overall medal table for the games, and it was the first time India topped the boxing medal list.
India won a record 7 gold medals in boxing at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The 10‑medal haul (7 gold, 3 silver) topped India’s overall boxing medal table for the first time.
Five women (Preeti Pawar, Jaismine Lamboria, Sakshi Chaudhary, Priya Ghanghas, Arundhati Choudhary) won gold, while men Sachin Siwach and Ankush Panghal added two more titles.
India’s boxing success contributed to a fourth‑place finish in the overall Commonwealth Games medal standings.
The team’s performance surpassed the previous best at the 2018 Gold Coast Games, where India won only three golds.
