Women Prisoners Complete Computer Skills Training in Rajamahendravaram
Eleven women staying at a prison in Rajamahendravaram learned computer skills.
Their lessons included basic computer use, typing, email and internet use.
They also learned MS Office and Python.
Teachers from Dr BR Ambedkar Polytechnic College provided the training.
The programme was arranged to help the women prepare for life after prison.
Each woman who finished the course received a certificate.
The prison superintendent said these skills could help them find jobs.
The training was also meant to help them rebuild their lives and return to society with confidence and dignity.
Eleven women prisoners at Rajamahendravaram’s Special Women Prison completed a computer training course.
The programme was organised under the direction of the Director General of Prisons to support rehabilitation and skill development.
Faculty from Dr BR Ambedkar Polytechnic College taught computer basics, MS Office, Python, internet use, email and typing.
Women lecturers Kalyani, Bindu, Pavani and Sridevi conducted the training during the summer.
Certificates were presented to the 11 participants at a programme held at the prison on Friday.
