A medical student named Priyanka was hurt very badly in a car accident while riding home with her friend Umesh after watching a movie.

Police say the car driver may have been drinking alcohol.

The car hit their two-wheeler more than once and then ran over Priyanka.

She is now in a hospital in Hyderabad where doctors say she is still in a critical condition.

Two people were arrested for the crash.

A judge sent them to jail for 14 days, until August 21.

College students marched in protest to show support for Priyanka and ask for strict punishment.

The Deputy Chief Minister also said the people responsible must face strong action.

Some leaders want the accused to face more serious charges, like murder.
