Arunachal Pradesh's Boleng to Host Asian Rafting Championships 2026

A big sports event called the Asian Rafting Championships 2026 is coming to a town called Boleng in Arunachal Pradesh, India.

Rafting is when people ride small boats down fast-moving river water, working together to steer through waves.

The best paddlers from all over Asia will travel to Boleng to take part in the races.

They will compete on the Simang river, a tributary of the bigger Siang River that flows through the Siang Valley.

The championship will last five days, from October 5 to October 9, 2026.

The leader of Arunachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Pema Khandu, is helping make sure everything is ready.

A minister named Ojing Tasing, who represents Boleng, is also working closely on the preparations.

The leaders hope the event will bring more tourists and adventure sports fans to the state.

They also want the world to see Arunachal Pradesh's beautiful rivers and landscapes.

Most of all, they hope it will make the state famous as a great place for white-water sports.
