Assam Student Attacked in MP University

A student named Hiros Jyoti Das from Assam was hurt by five other students at a university in Madhya Pradesh.

The five students asked him where he was from and made mean comments about his origin.

This made them argue, and then the five students hit him, hurting his eyes and nose.

The university kicked out the five students who did this and also told the police.

Another student from Tripura was recently hurt in a similar way in Dehradun.

Students from the Northeast often face mean comments and are not treated nicely in other parts of India.

They feel scared and think the police do not help them enough.
