Automatic-Door Non-AC Local Faces Technical Issues in Trials
Mumbai: Central Railway’s Automatic-Door Non-AC Local Rake Faces Technical Issues In Trial, To Be Sent To Chennai For Modifications · freepressjournal.in

Central Railway is testing a new non-AC local train with automatic doors.

The doors are meant to make suburban travel safer.

During an early test, experts found some technical areas that need improvement.

The train will be sent to Integral Coach Factory in Chennai for changes.

After that, it will be tested again.

More tests will check its brakes, stability, doors and other systems.

The problems do not mean the train has been permanently rejected.

It can carry passengers only after it passes every required test and receives certification.
