Milk Prices In Maharashtra To Rise Rs 2 Per Litre
In Maharashtra, a state in India, milk is getting more expensive.
Both cow milk and buffalo milk will cost 2 rupees more for every litre.
The new prices start on August 11.
A group of dairy companies decided to raise the prices together.
They said making milk costs more now.
The fuel that trucks use costs more, and the packets and bottles that hold milk cost more, too.
Farmers are also charging more for raw milk.
Because of this, other dairy products may also cost more, by up to 10 per cent.

Both cow and buffalo milk prices in Maharashtra will rise by Rs 2 per litre from August 11.
The hike was approved at a meeting of the Milk Producers and Processors Welfare Association, chaired by president Gopalrao Mhaske, with representatives of major cooperative and private dairies.
The association cited a Rs 10 per litre increase in diesel prices, a roughly 30 per cent rise in packaging costs, and higher milk procurement prices as reasons.
Prices of dairy products are set to increase by up to 10 per cent, although the exact increase may vary by product.
Households across Maharashtra will have to spend more on regular milk purchases and other dairy items under the revised prices.
