Maharashtra Milk Prices Hiked by Rs 2 Per Litre

In the Indian state of Maharashtra, milk is going to cost a little more.

Starting on August 11, 2026, both cow milk and buffalo milk will cost 2 rupees more for every litre.

That means when a family buys milk, they will need to pay a bit extra.

A group called the Milk Producers and Processors Welfare Association made the decision to raise the price.

This group includes people who produce and process milk in Maharashtra.

The new price will affect people who buy milk all across the state.

Right now, food prices are going up in India, which is called food inflation.

Because food is already more expensive, the higher milk price may make it harder for some families to manage their household budgets.
