Thane Crackdown Seizes 99 Kg Banned Plastic, Collects ₹79,000 Fines
Thane civic officials conducted a citywide check against banned plastic.
They visited 75 businesses, markets, shops and street vendors.
Officials found and seized 99 kilograms of prohibited plastic.
The businesses were fined a total of ₹79,000.
Naupada-Kopri had the biggest seizure and the highest fines.
Majiwada-Manpada and Mumbra were also inspected.
The operation involved the corporation’s pollution control and waste management departments.
Officials said more checks will happen in the coming days.

The corporation said single-use plastic enforcement drives will continue across all ward zones.
