The city government wants public places to look clean and free of unauthorised advertisements.

On Tuesday, officials checked more than 100 businesses near HUDCO TV Centre.

They found 20 businesses using advertising materials without following the rules.

These businesses included coaching classes, hospitals, hotels, shops, eateries and malls.

The city collected more than ₹1.5 lakh in fines.

Each fine was based on how serious the violation was.

Officials said businesses must get permission before putting up advertisements in public spaces.

They also warned that repeated violations or littering could lead to legal action.
