Nuh Seizes 7,600 Kg of Suspected Adulterated Dairy Products
Officials in Nuh found and seized 7,600 kilograms of suspected fake dairy products.
The products were made at three units in Punhana.
Food Safety Officer Vikas Jaglan said the raid also uncovered industrial chemicals, including a bleaching agent used for clothes.
Officials ordered the seized products buried so they could not return to the food supply.
Sources said the products were carried through Faridabad and sold in Delhi-NCR markets and eateries.
Haryana has banned selling non-dairy paneer as if it were made from milk.
The ban is set to last one year.
Officials said the crackdown is part of a wider effort to address food adulteration in the district.

Food Safety Officer Vikas Jaglan said 4,000 kg came from one unit, with 3,000 kg and 600 kg seized from the other two.
Officials found industrial-grade fluorescent dyes and sodium thiosulphate, which Jaglan said is used as a textile bleaching agent.

Quotes
Dr Vikas Jaglan
Nuh Food Safety Officer who led the joint raid.
“The practice is so traditional here, people are not even aware of its harmful nature. Rang kaat is industrial grade and only meant for clothes and to give it a shine, but these chemicals are being ingested by consumers.”

“There are about 20-40 registered dairies in the district. We have knowledge of at least 70-80 illicit dairies overall whose hygiene and food handling standards will fail norms.”
