Odisha Chief Minister Pitches State as Semiconductor Manufacturing Hub
Odisha wants to become an important place for making computer chips.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said five planned projects could bring investments of Rs 10,899 crore.
These projects would make different products, including silicon carbide chips and advanced chip packages.
The State says they could create more than 4,500 direct jobs and over 16,000 indirect jobs.

SiCSem is establishing an integrated silicon carbide fabrication and packaging facility, while HIPS/3DGS is developing an advanced glass-substrate packaging facility.
The State is offering additional fiscal support and developing an IT park and research hub to build a broader semiconductor ecosystem.
