Jaishankar Lays Foundation Stone for New Indian Mission Complex
India is building a new home and office complex for its High Commission in Singapore.
S. Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister, and Singapore’s foreign minister helped begin the project.
The building will be on Stevens Road, near Singapore’s main business area.
Its design will include ideas from Indian architecture, especially Rajasthan.
Some building materials will come from India.
Jaishankar said the complex represents closer relations between India and Singapore.
He also said it should help Indian people living in Singapore receive better services.
The two countries are also meeting to discuss trade, investment, security, technology and other areas of cooperation.

Jaishankar said the facility would reflect a new era in the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and improve services for the Indian diaspora.
The design draws on Indian architecture, including motifs inspired by Rajasthan, with materials such as marble sourced from India.
The ceremony took place ahead of the fourth India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable on economic and strategic cooperation.
