India-Vietnam Ties Rooted in Trust, Mutual Respect, Goodwill
The most important person from India in Vietnam is the ambassador.
He wrote a message in a newspaper called 'Vietnam News'.
India and Vietnam celebrate Independence Day, which is like a birthday for a country.
He said the two countries are good friends who trust each other.
He wrote that they have helped each other turn problems into chances to grow.
A long time ago, both countries became free from colonial rulers, Vietnam in 1945 and India in 1947.
He repeated a promise from India's leader: 'We will walk together, grow together, and win together.'
India's Independence Day is August 15, and Vietnam's is September 2.
The ambassador wished everyone good health, happiness and prosperity for both celebrations.
Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Tshering W. Sherpa wrote in the daily 'Vietnam News' calling India and Vietnam 'progressive and forward-looking partners' as New Delhi prepares to hold its 80th Independence Day celebrations.
Sherpa quoted Prime Minister Narendra Modi as saying, 'We will walk together, grow together, and win together.'
Vietnam was described as a key pillar of India's 'Act East' policy and Vision MAHASAGAR, with India reaffirming its commitment to ASEAN centrality.
The ambassador noted both countries gained independence in the same period — Vietnam in September 1945 and India in August 1947.
Sherpa linked India's Viksit Bharat @ 2047 and Vietnam's Vietnam2045 national goals, and wished both nations well on their respective Independence Days on August 15 and September 2.
