The Indian government has a special group called the Pay Commission.

Its job is to decide how much money government workers will earn.

This group is now listening to workers talk about what they need.

Recently, it finished meetings with workers in Delhi.

A group of railway engineers called IRTSA asked for bigger salaries.

They want the smallest salary to be ₹52,600.

They also want workers in harder jobs to get bigger raises.

The Commission will visit more cities to hear from other workers too.

After all the meetings, it will suggest new pay rules to the government around 2027.

The final decision has not been made yet.
