Maharashtra to anchor India-US partnership's economic execution, says Fadnavis

A leader named Devendra Fadnavis is the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, a big state in India.

He spoke at a large business meeting in the city of Mumbai.

At the meeting, he said India and the United States should work together much more closely.

He wants the two countries to move from just talking about being friends to actually building things together.

Fadnavis said Maharashtra should be the main place for this new work.

That work includes making computer chips, building data centers, and creating new technology with artificial intelligence.

The American ambassador, Sergio Gor, also came to the meeting and talked with Fadnavis about investing in these areas.

Fadnavis also shared plans for a huge new health project with a famous hospital called Cleveland Clinic.

He said investments should create jobs for young people and that women should also be leaders in the economy.
