Himachal Government Procures 8,000 Tonne Apples Under MIS
The Himachal Pradesh government is buying apples from farmers through a special Market Intervention Scheme.
It has bought more than 8,000 tonnes so far.
More than 17,000 farmers have registered for the program.
Apples are collected at 213 centers across the state.
The collection program began on August 1, 2026, and will continue until October 21, 2026.
A digital system called HPMIS records the farmers and the apples they bring.
Farmers receive digital receipts on their registered mobile numbers or accounts.
They can register online or get help from service centers and village councils.
