Maharashtra CET Cell Warns Fake Documents Will Cancel Admissions

The Maharashtra CET Cell is a group that handles college admissions in Maharashtra.

It has sent a notice to students who are applying for professional courses like engineering and other technical studies for the 2026-27 school year.

The notice says that if students use fake or fake-looking documents to get into college, their admission will be cancelled.

Students who submit such documents may also get into legal trouble, which means they could face punishment by the law.

The rule especially applies to students who want special benefits, like seats reserved for orphans, defence families, persons with disabilities, or minority groups.

These students must show real proof that they qualify for those benefits.

Colleges have also been told to check every student's original documents before saying yes to their admission.

If a college admits a student without checking the documents, the college may also face legal action.

This is being done to make sure no one cheats the admission system and that every student gets a fair chance.
