NCSC summons Himachal officials over DSP's caste harassment complaint

In India, there is a special government group called the National Commission for Scheduled Castes that works to make sure people are treated fairly no matter what their caste is.

A police officer named Vijay Kumar Raghuvanshi complained to this group that he was being treated badly because of his caste.

He said this started after his official car was taken away.

He believes the car was removed because he gave a lift to a senior police officer.

He wrote about this problem in a complaint in June.

The commission thought his complaint was serious.

So it has asked two top police officials from Himachal Pradesh to come to New Delhi to explain what happened.

The officials must bring all their documents and reports with them.

A commission member named Partha Biswas will listen to everyone and try to find the truth.

This way, the commission can decide if the officer was treated unfairly.
