Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave special Indian gifts to leaders from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The gifts were presented during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit.

They included Kangra tea from Himachal Pradesh.

The Kyrgyz president received a traditional Ladakhi item called a Tsung-dul Banket.

Uzbekistan’s president’s spouse received a marble inlay casket and a Banarasi silk stole.

Another gift was made using India’s traditional sandalwood craft.

These presents showed India’s regional art, textiles, tea and handicrafts.

They were also a way for India to share its culture with other countries.
