98 People, 11 Animals Rescued as Heavy Rain Floods MP
It rained very heavily in a place called Madhya Pradesh, and the streets filled with water.
This is called flooding, and it made it dangerous for people and animals.
Special rescue teams called the SDRF and Home Guards went out to help.
They saved 98 people, four dogs, and seven cows.
In one area called Sukhi Sewania, they rescued 23 people and animals.
A dam wall broke in a village called Balrampur, and water trapped 15 people and four dogs there.
The rescue team saved everyone, including children and women.
In another place, some people were bathing in a big river called the Narmada when the water pulled them away.
Two brave rescuers jumped in and saved the three people.
Even though the rain caused trouble, the rescue teams made sure everyone was safe.
Heavy rain lashed several parts of Madhya Pradesh on Monday, causing waterlogging and flooded roads that disrupted normal life.
SDRF and Home Guards teams rescued 98 people, four dogs and seven cows, saving a total of 109 lives across the state.
The highest number of rescues, 23, took place in Bhopal's Sukhi Sewania area, including four people trapped in a waterlogged nullah.
A breached dam wall in Balrampur village trapped 15 people, including five children, six women and four men, along with four dogs, all of whom were rescued.
In Omkareshwar, Khandwa district, two SDRF jawans jumped into the Narmada and rescued three visitors swept away by a strong current while bathing.
