Bhiwandi Civic Body to Fine Residents for Roadside Garbage Dumping

In the city of Bhiwandi in India, some people throw their garbage on the roads, which makes neighborhoods dirty and smelly.

The city's government, called BNCMC, decided to do something about it.

Now, people who throw trash on the streets can be given a fine, which means they have to pay money.

The city also told its cleanliness workers to check every neighborhood three times a day.

Many residents think this is a good idea.

But some people, like those living in an area called Narpoli, are worried.

They say the garbage trucks do not always come to pick up their trash.

So their trash piles up at home and they do not know what to do with it.

They want the city to make sure the garbage trucks come regularly first.

The city hopes that with fines and more checks, the roads will stay clean and everyone will stay healthy.
