Patna Metro Corridor 2 Advances With Rs 121 Crore Works
Patna Metro’s second corridor is getting ready for more electrical work underground.
The work is expected to cost Rs 121.12 crore, including GST.
It will install equipment that supplies electricity to metro trains and stations.
The package also includes overhead traction equipment, substations and cables.
Companies can submit bids in late September 2026.
The work is planned to take 24 months.
Corridor 2 will connect Patna Railway Station to New ISBT.
A tunnel-boring machine has also completed a 5.2-kilometre underground section on the route.
DMRC has invited bids for Rs 121.12 crore of electrical and traction works on Patna Metro Corridor 2’s underground section.
Package PE-06A includes 25 kV AC traction with Rigid Overhead Equipment, 33 kV auxiliary substations and associated cabling.
The package has a 24-month completion period, with bids due between September 23 and September 30, 2026.
Corridor 2 will connect Patna Railway Station with New ISBT across 14.45 km, including 4.55 km underground and 9.9 km elevated.
PMRCL said a TBM recently completed a 5.2-km underground tunnelling stretch between Moin-ul-Haq and Patna Junction stations.
