Mumbai police arrested two more people in a case involving an alleged extortion gang called the Z gang.

Extortion means forcing someone to pay money by using threats.

The police say the gang demanded Rs 25 lakh from a builder and threatened him.

One suspect, Sikandar Cheemu, was caught on a train near Panvel.

The other suspect, Feeroz Khan, was arrested in Dharavi.

Police say 17 people have now been arrested in the case.

They also allege that the gang threatened and attacked people in Mumbai’s western suburbs.

The police have applied a strict organised-crime law to the case.
