Thane's Rebuilt 900-Bed District Hospital To Open By December 2026
A big new hospital is almost ready in a place called Thane, in India.
The hospital is called Vitthal Sayanna District General Hospital.
It has 900 beds, which means it can help a lot of sick people at the same time.
The building is 10 floors tall and has special rooms for serious care and cancer treatment.
It even has a landing pad on the roof for air ambulances, so emergency patients can arrive quickly.
Important leaders came to check that the building was being finished properly.
They want the hospital to open by December 2026.
The hospital will help people from Thane and nearby areas like Palghar and Raigad.
Soon, people won't have to travel all the way to Mumbai to get good medical care.
A school for nurses is also being built next to the hospital.
The rebuilt 900-bed Vitthal Sayanna District General Hospital in Thane is expected to open by December 2026.
MP Naresh Mhaske and Mayor Sharmila Pimpale inspected the near-complete facility on Friday following directives from Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
The 10-storey super-specialty hospital includes advanced diagnostics, operation theatres, ICUs, oncology wings and a rooftop air ambulance helipad.
It will serve as a regional healthcare hub for Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Palghar and Vasai, reducing the need to travel to Mumbai.
An adjacent nursing college is under construction, and officials said the facility alongside Kalwa Medical College Hospital will ease pressure on regional public hospitals.
