Pithapuram is getting more healthcare facilities.

A 30-bed health centre is being expanded into a 100-bed hospital.

The hospital will have special rooms and equipment for treating patients.

It will also include maternity, children’s, eye and bone-care departments.

The hospital is expected to help about three lakh people in Pithapuram and nearby areas.

The government is also working to establish an AYUSH medical college.

Two new primary health centres are already working.

Another AYUSH dispensary is almost finished.

The hospital is expected to serve nearly three lakh people in Pithapuram town and six surrounding mandals.
AYUSH medical college
Land acquisition is being expedited for a Government AYUSH Medical College project estimated at ₹100 crore.
Operational health centres
Primary health centres at Komaragiri and Chebrolu have been completed and are operational.
AYUSH dispensary
A Government AYUSH dispensary at Viravada, costing ₹30 lakh, is nearing completion.
