Odisha Vigilance Arrests Engineer After Seizing Rs 7.15 Lakh

Odisha Vigilance arrested Assistant Executive Engineer Anupama Sahoo in Kendrapada after intercepting her official vehicle.
Officials recovered Rs 3.15 lakh from Sahoo during the interception at Marshaghai Crossing.
A further Rs 4 lakh was seized from her residence, bringing the total cash recovery to Rs 7.15 lakh.
Searches also identified property, business assets and deposits worth Rs 63 lakh, according to Vigilance officials.
A case was registered under Sections 13(2) and 13(1)(b) of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018.
