India Urged to Coordinate Industry for Global Semiconductor Hub
India’s electronics and chip industries are growing quickly.
Experts say different parts of the industry must work together instead of operating separately.
These parts include chipmaking, device manufacturing, design, packaging, materials and software-related applications.
Chips become more useful when they are placed inside products and systems.
Experts also said factories need support from equipment, testing and logistics providers.
They suggested creating a permanent group to help industry associations cooperate.

The event had more than 600 exhibitors and nearly 300 international companies.
Government programs have also supported 12 semiconductor projects, five of which were operating commercially by September 2026.
