Modi Expected to Visit Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan for SCO Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi may travel to two countries in Central Asia.

He may first visit Uzbekistan on August 28.

Then he may go to Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan for a major regional meeting.

This meeting is called the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit.

Leaders from countries including India, China, Pakistan and Russia are expected to attend.

Modi may meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, but no meeting has been confirmed.

He is also expected to see Pakistan’s prime minister, although no private meeting is planned.

India may discuss terrorism, trade and better connections between countries.
