Mumbai Announces Ganpati Visarjan Traffic Curbs for September 25

Mumbai will celebrate the final day of Ganeshotsav on September 25, 2026.

Many Ganpati idols will be taken to water for immersion.

Large crowds are expected near procession routes and immersion places such as Girgaon Chowpatty.

Because of this, some roads will close and parking will be banned in several areas.

Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to use parts of the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road.

Drivers will need to use alternate routes or remain on major highways.

Emergency vehicles and some verified local residents will still be allowed on certain roads.

More than 22,000 police personnel and special security teams will help manage the crowds.
