Ganesh Immersion Traffic Curbs Restrict Heavy Vehicles on Mumbai’s JVLR
Mumbai Traffic Police want to reduce traffic during Ganesh idol immersions.
They will stop heavy vehicles from using the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road, or JVLR.
The restriction covers both directions of the road.
It applies during important immersion days.
The listed dates include September 18, 19, 20 and 25.
On September 18, the ban begins at 4 pm and ends at 5 am the next day.
Another overnight ban runs from September 19 to September 20.
The final restriction begins on September 25 and ends at noon on September 26.
Mumbai Traffic Police have restricted heavy vehicles on both carriageways of the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road.
The restrictions apply during specified Ganesh immersion days on September 18, 19, 20 and 25.
Heavy vehicles are barred from 4 pm on September 18 until 5 am on September 19.
A second restriction runs from 4 pm on September 19 until 5 am on September 20.
The Anant Chaturdashi restriction runs from 10 am on September 25 until noon on September 26 to ease congestion.
