Maharashtra Cabinet Approves ₹80.12 Crore For Phase-II Expansion Of Gadchiroli District Sports Complex · freepressjournal.in

The Maharashtra government approved more money to expand a sports complex in Gadchiroli.

The new funding is worth ₹80.12 crore.

Officials want young people from remote and Naxal-affected areas to have better opportunities through sports.

They also want athletes from Gadchiroli to train in facilities like those used by top players.

Earlier funding had already helped build several sports grounds, a swimming pool, a badminton hall, and a hostel.

A gymnasium and an indoor badminton hall with four courts are now complete at the new site.

A large multigame hall is also mostly finished.

The government expects the project to improve sports opportunities in the district.
