Pune Water Supply Shutdown Planned Across City For 24 Hours
Pune’s water supply will be turned off for one full day.
The shutdown starts at 9pm on Wednesday, September 9.
It will continue until 9pm on Thursday, September 10.
The Pune Municipal Corporation needs to repair electrical equipment, pumps and other water facilities.
Many parts of the city will be affected.
These include areas such as Aundh, Kothrud, Viman Nagar, Kharadi, Baner and Warje.
The PMC asked residents to store enough water before the shutdown.
Some places may get water at low pressure on Friday morning as normal service returns.
Pune’s water supply will be suspended for 24 hours from 9pm Wednesday, September 9, to 9pm Thursday, September 10.
The Pune Municipal Corporation will conduct urgent electrical, pumping and maintenance work at several water facilities.
Areas supplied by Parvati, Bhama Askhed, SNDT, Chandani Chowk, Gandhi Bhavan and other systems will be affected.
Major affected localities include Aundh, Kothrud, Viman Nagar, Kharadi, Baner, Balewadi, Warje and parts of Pune’s southern areas.
The PMC warned that some areas could receive low-pressure water on Friday morning, September 11, while the system is restored.
